The City of Leakesville is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a smart text messaging service designed to improve communication with our residents. This service allows the community to receive important city notifications and find information quickly by simply sending a text.

How It Works

Residents can engage with the city through two primary methods: Notifications and On-Demand Information.

• Official Launch: The system will officially go live on Thursday.

• Initial Sign-Up: You may receive an initial text message from the number 91896 welcoming you to the service.

• Manual Opt-In: If you don’t receive the initial message, you can sign up by texting LEAKESVILLE to 91896.

• Confirmation: After texting the keyword, reply YES to confirm your enrollment.

• Opt-Out: You can stop receiving messages at any time by texting STOP to the same number.

What to Expect

By signing up, you can stay informed about what's happening in Leakesville. Notifications may include:

• Community events and city hall meetings

• Utility updates or service interruptions

• Emergency alerts and safety information

Additionally, residents will soon be able to access information 24/7 by texting keywords to our dedicated 10-digit number: 601-258-8309. This feature provides instant answers regarding:
